What You Will Need
With every homemade project, you will need some supplies to get started. See the list below and make sure you have everything you need before you begin.
- Wire Clippers
- Scissors
- Greenery/Floral Filler
- Floral Wire
Step 1
Take your scissors and trim the stems off of the greenery that you picked out. Keep about 2-3 inches at the end so you can use it later.
Step 2
Next, use your floor or a table to mock the greenery, starting with the fullest piece and then layering the rest on. You will want to make sure it is nice and full looking. Keep in mind, it doesn’t have to be perfect.
Step 3
Then, you will wire your pieces together using the floral wire. Grab a bundle at one end and wrap the floral wire around the stems. Keep moving down your greenery and wrapping bundle by bundle.
Step 4
If you want to spice up your garland and make it really stand out, you can add different holiday elements to it. String lights around it or add pine cones and other decorative flowers like poinsettias. Use your creativity to really make it your own.
Wrapping It Up
That is all you need to do to complete your very own holiday garland. Place your garland around a door frame, along your banister, or use it as part of your table decoration. There are plenty of ways you can use this in your home.
