You know that your vehicle is comprised of a variety of elements and parts, but you may not realize the fluid that is necessary to help run and lubricate the vehicle’s parts. It is important to check these fluids to make sure the levels are right, so that your vehicle can run smoothly. Here is a list of important fluid levels that you should check regularly.
Power Steering Fluid
You may seriously underestimate the amount of fluids as well as the types of fluids that help make your vehicle move. For example, did you know that your car needs power steering fluid? If you want your car to move and turn smoothly, then you need to check that the power steering fluid is filled at the correct level as well as check for leaks when the steering feels rough.
Brake Fluid
If you have ever stepped on the brakes and it felt mushy, then the brake fluid may be low. You will want to top off the fluid levels. Pay attention also to the appearance of the brake fluid. Is it brown? If so, then change it immediately.
Transmission Fluid
Transmission fluid is essential as it enables your car’s gears to move. Like most vehicle fluid, if you notice it is turning brown or it is low, then schedule a time to refill the transmission fluid as quickly as possible.
Engine Coolant
Your engine works so hard to keep your vehicle running and moving, so make sure you give your engine some love. You can do this by making sure that the engine coolant levels are where they are supposed to be. The engine coolant is responsible for keeping your engine cool, so that it does not overheat.
